Gavin James

27 December 2018

Gavin James

Gavin James returns to the INEC Killarney on December 28th. Gavin has had an immensely successful couple of years. One of the most genuine and humble men in music, Gavin is unsurprisingly thrilled with the way things are going at the moment: "I'm loving every minute of this. It's everything I've ever wanted and I can't wait to know what comes next." but it's only the beginning for the toweringly-tall, down-to-earth Dubliner whose heavenly voice, heart-warming, spine-tingling songs and habit of jumping in to audiences to start sing-alongs has won him an army of fans around the world. He has had platinum Top 5 sales for his debut album, Bitter Pill, in Ireland, where he was awarded Song of The Year for the album's title track at the Choice Music Prize. Bitter Pill's global release followed. Several of its songs will be familiar to fans of Live At Whelan's, the intimate live album the singer released at the start of last year as a calling card, but didn't expect to connect beyond his homeland. On Bitter Pill, those songs have been given the grand setting and loving attention they deserve. Gavin's raw delivery remains, as does his powerful falsetto, but now there are strings, choir-like backing vocals and electric instruments that add drama to the up-tempo tracks. In the spring of 2015, he appeared on U.S. television's Dancing with the Stars and released a four-track EP titled For You. Later that year, he was invited to open for chart-toppers Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith on their respective tours, and released singles including "Bitter Pill" from his full-length studio debut of the same name. The musician had a stellar 2016 in that he was a 'Spotify Spotlight Artist of 2016', appeared on BBC's the One Show and was included in various ones to watch lists, including the Sun and Buzzfeed. The future is looking very bright for Gavin James. Expect a spine - tingling performance for this fully seated Acoustic performance from the Dubliner.

The Coronas

The Coronas

In 2014, The Coronas moved to London. Which matters because, as anyone in Ireland will tell you, The Coronas are a Dublin band. At home, the quartet could hardly be bigger. Their three albums to date are double platinum; their second, 2009s magnificently-titled Tony Was An Ex-Con, beat U2 and Snow Patrol to Best Album at the Meteor Awards. They have sold out everywhere from Dublin s 13,000-capacity 02 Arena to The Olympia Theatre, where they played a record-breaking six night run, and supported Sir Paul McCartney, The Script, Justin Timberlake and Pink on a full UK tour. The band have just released What A Love, the sixth and final single to be taken from The Long Way, which was written and recorded in London by the band. A late addition, What A Love was added to the final track listing just days before the album was finished. In a first for the band, The Coronas also released their platinum selling album The Long Way, on limited edition 12 vinyl last month.

Nathan Carter

Nathan Carter is the brightest young star to hit Ireland in recent years. Nathan was born in Liverpool in 1990 and grew up in a family with strong Irish roots. Nathan was born to perform and at the tender age of four he began to learn to play the accordion, in a few short years he went on to become the head chorister in the Liverpool Boys Choir, touring the world and even singing for the Pope. He made regular trips to Ireland to compete in Fleadh Ceoil s and resulted in medals for the accordion and for singing. This resulted him in becoming a member of the Liverpool Ceili band where he played the accordion and piano and in no time at all he began to play solo gigs in London and Liverpool along with the occasional show in Ireland. On a trip to Donegal in 2009 he met up with songwriter John Farry, who was hugely impressed with Nathan s ability and in a few short months his dream of performing with his own band became a reality. Since then Nathan has recorded 3 albums with a 4th of the way, won 18 awards at ceremonies in Ulster, Leinster, Munster and Connaught. He is packing out venues and ballrooms all across Ireland and has become one of the must see Irish acts. Do not miss your opportunity to see Nathan Carter Live!!!

The Three Amigos

06 January 2019

The Three Amigos

In August 2012, at a sell out show in County Cavan Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney announced their intention to break from touring as The Three Amigos. After taking the concert circuit by storm with their award winning show the guys felt that the time was right for them to focus completely on their solo careers. But the parting words from the three that night in Cavan were, We ll be back. True to their word The Three Amigos will re unite for some special live performances in January 2016. Jimmy Buckley is now regarded as one of Ireland's most popular country acts. The Limerick native continues to enjoy huge popularity right across Ireland and the UK with numerous Number 1 hit singles and platinum selling albums. Robert Mizzell, a native of Louisiana USA is now living in County Westmeath. He has been touring successfully with his band, The Country Kings for close to twenty years. His song Say You Love Me is still one of Ireland's biggest selling hit singles. Patrick Feeney from Gurteen, County Sligo, burst onto the Irish Country Music Scene in the mid noughties as a very talented and ambitious twenty something and he has never looked back. To date he has graced some of the world s most prestigious stages and is renowned for his wide ranging vocal abilities. The Three Amigos concept which was the brainchild of well-known promoter and broadcaster Joe Finnegan has to date been seen by thousands and the guys have guested on every major Irish TV and radio show including The Late Late Show and The Miriam Show on RTE, Ireland AM on TV3 and all The Prime Time Shows on UTV and BBC Northern Ireland. Indeed Jimmy, Robert and Patrick will be the first to admit that all the top radio stations have been very generous with both airplay and on-air interviews. A live studio interview with The Amigos is according to presenters and producers alike a unique experience. There is no doubt that the chemistry between these three both on and off stage is infectious. The amigos live stage show is still regarded as one of the most exciting ever seen on the live circuit in Ireland. Featuring a mix of well choreographed comedy sketches and lively banter with a repertoire of some of the world s best known country and Irish standards.
